Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation No. 60181-1-Q314 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be awarded as a purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 33-Transportation Equipment. Small Business Size is less than 500 employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. The solicitation item is as follows: LOWBOY TRAILER; 50 ton self lifting detachable gooseneck trailer; 24-ft load deck, 50-ft total length (+/- 6inches); 8-ft 6-inch load deck width; 2-inch nominal hardwood decking; front flip ramps wood filled; triple axle, w/air lift 3rd axle (each rated at 25,000 lbs); 16 hours power self contained hydraulic system, (7 gpm minimum); boomwell; 80,000 lbs tensile steel mainframe, four 16-inch deep "I" beams; 80,000 lbs psi steel main rails; 360 degree swivel tie downs, minimum 6 per side; all hydraulic pin and neck; minimum 8-inch ground clearance loaded; outside start, choke and control valves at eye level; cast steel outriggers (must lock both in and out of position. SUSPENSION: Air ride, ride height adjustable with dump valve; air lift 3rd axle; ABS air brakes on all axles; parking brake: spring brakes on all axles; S cam brakes w/auto slack adjusters; disc wheels, hub piloted axles, axle capacity 25,000 lbs each; steel belted radial tires, (12) 255/70R 22.5 (H). LIGHTS: Sealed beam, rubber mounted, 12 volt D.O.T. approved; sealed modular harness w/7 way ATA plug, 14 gauge lights. COLOR: Preferred black with matching rust resistant under coating. (Descriptive literature must accompany quote) F.O.B. Point: Destination -- Ouray National Wildlife Refuge, 19001 East Wildlife Refuge Road, Randlett, Utah 84063. Delivery Required: Please state delivery time on quote, inspection and acceptance will be at destination. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, and FAR Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items, are applicable to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, and the clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. Evaluation of Commercial Items: The Government will award to the responsible offeror based on 1. price and 2. shortest delivery time . Vendors wishing to respond to this RFQ should provide this office with the following: A price quote on company letterhead for the requested items showing unit price, delivery time after receipt of order, payment terms, correct remittance address; and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. This form may be obtained from the Contracting Officer by FAX or telephone (f 303/236-7984). The offeror agrees to hold the prices in the offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date specified for the receipt of offers.
