Description
This is Amendment 1 to the synopsis entitled PROCUREMENT OF SOFTWARE LICENSES AND ONE DISK DUPLICATOR, Solicitation Number 9-BJ2-Z57-1-07Q, which was posted on March 2, 2001. You are hereby notified that the following questions and anwers are incoporated into the RFQ. Question: Item #1, Entire Context Electronic Dictionaries System V 3.5.18 -- What is the Manufacturer's Name? Answer: Smart Link Corp. Question: Item #2, Cyrillic Starter Kit 4.01 -- What is the manufacturer's name? There are several Cyrillic Language Kits, drawing and genetic computer programs. Please clarify. Answer: Fingertip Software, Inc. Question: Item #3, Licenses for SQL Server Application V 7.0, has been discontinued and replaced by SQL 2000 10 Client. Will that be acceptable? Answer: Yes Question: Item #4, FAT32 for Windows NT 4.0, has been discontinued and it is either FAT 16 or NT FS. Which one is it? Answer: According to our research, FAT 32 for Windows NT 4.0 has not been discontinued. We still want to procure FAT 32 for Windows NT 4.0. Question: Item #4, FAT32 for Windows NT 4.0 -- FAT32 is a file system that is part of Windows not a separate program, please clarify. Answer: This software allows a Windows NT 4.0 computer to read media fomatted in FAT 32. Question: Item #7, Disk Duplicator (1:4 up to 16 target IDE drives), has been discontinued and it has either 5 CAL's or 25 CAL's both are backwards compatible. Which one do you want? Answer: According to our research, Disk Duplicator (1:4 up to 16 target IDE drives), has not been discontinued. It has been confirmed that the Image MASSter 2000ix is available. We only need the base model that copies 1 disk drive to 4 hard drives. Question: Item #8, Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 w/10 CAL's -- OEM w/User Manual (Product # 22701189) -- Do you really want OEM Software? Technically it is only legal to load an OEM license on a new PC that is being built. You also are not provided tech support from Microsoft for OEM licenses. Answer: We NO longer want to procure Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 w/10 CAL's -- OEM w/User Manual (Product # 22701189). WE NOW WANT TO PURCHASE FULL LICENSES -- Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 w/0 CAL's w/User Manuals. The due date for reciept of ofers is extended to March 26, 2001. Documents related to this solicitation will be available over the Internet. These documents are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
