Solicitation N00421-01-Q-0239 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Universal Power Systems, Inc. for the part number listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The contract line item number and description is **CLIN 0001 Quantity 17 ea P/N 2000TR III ruggedized rackmount on-line global ups, 2000VA/1400 watts. Manufacturer must be Universal Power Systems, Inc. Award is expected 27 Mar 2001. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 26 Mar 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
