Description

Z -- For this procurement, it has been determined that competition will be limited to 8(a), Hubzone certified construction firms located within the geographical area serviced by SBA within Region IV and other firms having a bona fide branch office located within the geographic boundries of the relevant competitive area. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and material, and perform all work required to repair or replace roofs on various buildings located at Fort McPherson, Fort Gillem, and Lake Allatoona,Georgia in strict accordance with plans and specifications. Work consists of demolishing existing roofing and damaged decking when required and repair and replacement of roofs, some of which are on Historical buildings. The types of roofs include strip shingles, slate, metal roofing, standing seam metal roofing, standing seam terne metal roofing, built-up roofing, elastomeric roofing to include decking, flashing, caulking, sealants and accessories. This is a requirements type contract with a base year and two, one-year option periods. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All qualifying sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. Solicitation number DAKF11-01-R-0007 will be issued on or about April 16, 2001.
