Description

The Defense Supply Service-Washington, on behalf of The Joint Staff, plans to issue a Best Value contract for Russian Translation and Interpretation Services. The US Russian Federation Theater Missile Defense Exercise (TMDEX) Program is the result of three presidential summit agreements. The program was initially supported by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency from 1995 to 1999. The current bid process is a request for contractors to bid on a base year, plus four possible option years, to provide translation/interpreter support for the expanding TMDEX program. The anticipated requirements contract with fixed price rates for interpretation and translation services and cost reimbursable travel, will be awarded with a not to exceed ceiling price of $100K for each year. Performance will be required at various sites in the United States and the Russian Federation. The incumbent contractor is RWS Polyglot, LLC, 340 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA. 94107. The RFQ DASW01-01-T-0021 is scheduled to be issued on or about 23 March 2001. No written, telephonic, or facsimile requests will be honored.
