Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure preservation team services for the preparation and coating of shipboard interior and exterior spaces and equipment with Navy approved coatings designed to prolong the useful life of the ship and its equipment. The solicitation will include four option years, as well as an option and a backup option within each year of the contract. The solicitation may result in multiple awards for the services to be performed in the following ports: Groton, CT; Norfolk, VA; Kings Bay, GA; Mayport, FL; Ingleside, TX; Bangor, WA; Bremerton/Everett, WA; San Diego, CA; and Pearl Harbor, HI. Although the procurement is unrestricted, preferences for small business concerns will be provided. The solicitation, N00024-01-R-4050, will be posted on the NAVSEA Contracts website at www.contracts.hq.navsea.navy.mil and is expected to be available in March 2001. The solicitation can be located by its solicitation number and downloaded. Firms are notified that offers will not be accepted electronically. This notice is a follow-up to previous CBD announcements of 5 and 8 January and 5 February 2001.
