- Description
- The U.S. Army Office of the Project Manager, Crusader, Office of the Program Executive Officer -- Ground Combat and Support systems is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources to purchase or develop and produce a system to measure the core temperature of the Modular Artillery Charge System (MACS) increments in a remote non-invasive manner that does not impact the performance of the increment. It is desired to have an accuracy of +/-1 degree Fahrenheit over the range of -60 degrees to +145 degrees Fahrenheit. Any charge increment embedded component must require no maintenance over a minimum shelf life of 20 years and temperature range of -60 degrees to +160 degrees Fahrenheit. It is also desired to transfer the charge increment type and lot number along with the temperature. Responses should consist of company name, address, point of contact, telepone number, fax number description of approach/item(s) which may apply and company brochures/literature regarding contractor capability. Interested companies are encouraged to submit their responses and ideas to the Contract Specialist. This notice is not a request for proposal. Participation in this market survey will not affect a company's position during any future solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for the information provided. No basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this market survey or Government use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey.
