- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE , Brand Name or Equal. Firm Fixed Price. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This announcement incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23 and VAAR 97-8. NAICS CODE 421450 applies and the small business size is 500 employees. The contractor shall provide the following equipment or equal. Equal item shall contain the following salient characteristics: (a) true auto set-up 4MHZ-8MHZ dual frequency, bi-directional Dopplers; (b) automated pulse-volume recording and photoplethysmograph; (c) 12 button wireless remote control; (d) three channel programmable cuff inflator user defined pressure settings; inflates one or two cuffs and larger cuffs for venous studies; (e) dual channel chart recorder that allows for independent operation from computer; (f) automated color report generation with bar graph flow direction display; (g) utility cart with drawers, 2 large wheels in rear for easy door threshold clearance and two swivel wheels in front for positioning, wheel locks and built-in voltage protection using medical grad (UL544 Spec) isolation transformer; (h) multimedia computer with 17" color monitor, CD player, dual speakers and color printer, Microsoft Windows 95, modem for software upgrades and on-line support (i) data check vascular accreditation software; (j) diagnostic transducer (gas sterilizer acceptable); (k) (2 ea) operating and service manuals; (l) photoplethysmograph; (m) pnuemophlthysmograph; (n) autoscale for wave form displays; (o) on-site training. Offers will be evaluated on price and technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government's requirement. Delivery shall be 60 days after receipt of award. The contractor shall deliver all items FOB destination to Warehouse A10053, VA Medical Center, Building #100, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
