Description
Contractor is to furnish all labor, tools, equipment and materials for station improvement at the U.S. Coast Guard Station, Marathon, Florida. Work includes but is not limited to the following: 1) Add two metal stairs to outside of the _Boat House_ to facilitate use of the mezzanines on either side of the _Main Boat Bay_; 2) Renovate the Recreation Deck in the Administration: a) Build a new acoustical ceiling under the existing plumbing and electrical conduits; remove existing light fixtures and ceiling fans; install new lights and ceiling fans in new acoustical ceiling; relocate existing electrical conduits and plumbing pipes inside ceiling space where applicable; and b) Install furring strips and new drywall where wood paneling exists; remove and install fire alarm pull boxes, switches and outlets; add extension rings to junction boxes; relocate all electrical conduits and plumbing pipes under drywall; finish new drywall and paint entire Rec. Deck; remove and replace Rec. Deck carpet with V.C.T. flooring; remove baseboards and install vinyl base; covert women_s bathroom into a handicapped/unisex bathroom; and 3) Replace roof over M.S.D. Building; remove four foot entry overhand and one foot of perimeter roofing, sheathing and 2 x 12 structural member; install new trusses over existing roof and strap to existing Tie Beam; and install new plywood sheathing and asphalt shingle roofing. There is no charge for the bid package. This solicitation is being issued as a Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The performance period is 90 calendar days. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) Code is 233320. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipts of $27.5 million. A Payment Bond is required prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. All bid requests must be submitted in writing, and may be faxed to (305)278-6696. No telephone requests shall be accepted.
