Description
The National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institute of Health (NIH) is in the process of recompeting an existing contract currently being performed by B.L. Seamon. (NIH Contract No. N01-AI-75323). At this time, the NIH is soliciting tailored capability statements from qualified 8(a) Small Business firms under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 561110 with a size standard of $5,000,000. (The former Standard Industrial Classification code for this effort was 8741.) Based on the responses received from this SOURCES SOUGHT announcement, the proposed acquisition may be solicited as a 100%, 8(a) Small Business Set-Aside. THIS IS NOT AN RFP AND DOES NOT COMMIT THE NIH TO AWARD A CONTRACT NOW OR IN THE FUTURE. NO RFP PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. All 8(a) Small Business contractors responding to this Sources Sought Announcement must have the capabilities to provide support services as described below: 1) Scientific meeting and conference support for official advisory and scientific program review meetings, scientific meetings, conferences and workshops. 2) Arranging and managing of large group teleconferences, producing manuals and handbooks, recruitment and subcontracting for specialty writing expertise, locating and reserving conference space for small informal group retreats and workshops, arranging catering services, distributing letters, and documents by e-mail, FAX, mail, or courier service. 3) Providing project management and administrative support, including a multi-disciplinary staff with demonstrated skills in planning, coordinating, and operational oversight for scientific meetings, conferences and workshops, teleconferences, providing rapid response to changing needs on an overall and individual assignment basis, and preparing required reports. The Project Director will be responsible for attending regularly scheduled Contract meetings on a bi-weekly to monthly (minimum) basis with the Project Officer. Other Contractor personnel may be required to attend meetings on an as needed basis by the Government Project Officer. 8(a) concerns that respond to this notice must furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources possessing experience and demonstrated capability to accomplish the above are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the required services. Information furnished should include background information, resumes, a description of general and specific facilities, an outline of previous similar projects and other available literature for the NIH to perform a proper evaluation of your capability statement. See CBD Numbered Note 25. An original and one copy of your capability statement specific to this announcement must be submitted on the closing date identified above.
