This is NOT a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but Market Research to identify sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, experience, and facilities to meet the requirements for Repair of C-5 Aircraft Mechanical Components. Applicable Federal Stock Classes are: 1650, 1680, 3040, 4710, 4810, 4820, 6105, 6340, 6615, and 6680. The components range in size from approximately 2" X 2" to approximately 3" X 6'. The components consist of, but are not limited to: Mechanical Items (actuators, bellcranks, regulators, etc.); Electro-Mechanical Items (actuators, solenoids, valves, etc.); and Hydraulic Items (manifolds, etc.). A listing of the items to be repaired is included in the Draft Statement of Work. A Draft Statement of Work and Contractor Capability Survey are available on the web at http://www.robins.af.mil/smallbusiness/ci.htm. Participation in this survey may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the solicitation due to level of security clearances and amount of foreign participation. This notice does not constitute an invitation for bid or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 336413 (1000 Employees). Joint ventures or teaming arrangements may be advantageous. Information relative to the Small Business Administration Final Rule concerning waiver of the affiliation rule for small business joint venture and teaming arrangements is contained at the above web-site.
