- Description
- The United States Army Chemical School (USACMLS)is seeking sources to participate in a Decontamination Performance Demonstration (DPD). The USACLMS will use the DPD to assess suitability and usability as a battlefield NBC decontaminant/decontamination system. The DPD will be held at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. 12-20, Jul 01. The DPD will provide technology developers an opportunity to demonstrate their devices/technologies directly to the USACMLS, the user community. This demonstration will support a subjective assessment by the Government and will not guarantee selection or inclusion in any Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) decontamination programs. Additionally, the devices/technologies sponsored by contractors participating in the DPD maybe visible to a number of U. S. agencies. Decontamination technologies/devices that may be assessed are systems for terrain, equipment, interior and exterior applications, and sensitive equipment decontamination. Priority for assessment is in the order as mentioned above. Devices may perform more than one function. For submissions to be considered, developers/sponsors must supply the following in writing to CPT Jamette Blue (573-596-0131 ext 3-7148; bluej@wood.army.mil) no later than close of business April 23, 2001: a description of their technology/device to include all characteristics and capabilities; all relevant test reports; and how long it has been in development/production. Technologies/devices that are selected from this announcement for further consideration will receive a copy of an entrance criteria letter. Using the entrance criteria letter, technologies/devices will be selected for the DPD. Contractors participating in the DPD will do so at their own expense and without subsequent reimbursement. The DPD is strictly a technology assessment and there is no pending solicitation for related supplies or services as a result of contractor participation.
