Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the FAR, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote. Proposals are hereby requested under RFQ N68836-00-T-0097. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 313320, Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 2295, and the business size standard is 1000 employees. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Jacksonville FL, Mayport Detachment intends to purchase, on a full and open competitive basis, 900 yards of coated cloth, 58 inches wide, 5.5 ounces per square yard, fire resistant, oil resistant, waterproof, plastic polyurethane coating both sides, aramid basic fiber material, blue color in accordance with FedStd 595B standard color number 35177. The cloth is also known as NSN 8305-01-333-0797 Type 1 Class 2 part number SS9516-002 (Sikorsky Aircraft) and the quoted product may be brand name or equal. Delivery shall be made FOB Destination to Receiving Officer, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Bldg 191, Naval Station, Mayport FL 32228-0107. Offers other than FOB Destination shall be ineligible for the award. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items with the following applicable clauses for paragraph (b) 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity, FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era, FAR 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers, Far 52.222-37 Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era, and 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration (31USC3332). The following DFARS clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated: DFARS 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items with the following applicable clause for paragraph (b) DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program, and DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors must include the information required by FAR provisions 52.212-1 and 52.212-3. FAR clauses/provisions may be obtained/viewed via the internet at URL: http://farsite.hill.ef.mil/. The Government intends to make a single award to the eligible, responsible offeror, whose offer conforms to this combined synopsis/solicitation, and is the most advantageous in price to the government.
