Description
Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to rehabilitate the fire and potable water system at Station Cape Disappointment. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: (A) Remove five (5) existing fire hydrants, shut off valves, and branch supply piping and replace with new. Provide 6" diameter bollards at each hydrant located in traffic areas; (B) Remove three (3) existing fire hydrants, shut off valves, and branch supply piping. Cap off or plug tee at main below grade; (C) Provide one (1) each valve turning tool with T-handle for each new hydrant gate valve and one(1)each hydrant wrench for each new hydrant; (D) Enlarge the existing pumphouse, including foundation, walls, and roof, to house new chlorinator. Relocate existing lighting and switches; (E) Provide a new table chlorinator with automatic analyzer. Obtain power for the new chlorinator from Panel LP in the pumphouse. Provide one year's supply of chlorine tablets; (F) Provide a new 100 gpm fill pump, backflow preventer assembly, valves and all necessary fittings. Reconnect existing power to new pump; (G) Remove existing post indicator valve (PIV) and bollards located near the Boat Maintenance Facility. Patch concrete roadway; and (H) Remove existing garden hose valve box located approximately 15 feet to the northeast of the PIV. Patch concrete roadway. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This prcurement is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 and is open to both small and large business in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisitions is 234910, Size Standard is $27.5 million. This solicitation can be downloaded from the website http://www.eps.gov on approximately 26 March 2001. If it does not appear on that day, please check back daily. The due date for quotes will be aproximately 10 April 2001. This date is estimated and may change.
