Description

At the discretion of the Contracting Officer, one or more contracts may be awarded. Contractors must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as of the date of issue in general construction work. Contractors must also possess the capabilities of working at least three to five jobs at the same time. Specific Work Order/s will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the Unit Price Schedule and Specifications. One or more "Work Orders" will be issued totaling not less than $10,000 nor more than $250,000 during a one (1) year base period of the contract. The initial limit of $250,000 may be increased by modification as agreed upon by the Contractor and the Contracting Officer up to the maximum of $3,000,000. The contract includes four one-year renewal options. The Postal Service guarantees no specific number of Work Orders nor a specific amount. The contractor will not be required to perform work under any work order where the value of work in any one building is less than $500.00. Offerors will be required to submit one (1) "Multiplier" to be applied to the various Unit Prices established in the "Unit Price Schdule". The multiplier must contain the Offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. Packages will be available on or about March 15, 2001, at a cost of $75.00 per set, Non-Refundable, referencing Solicitation #232098-01-A-0020. Make checks/money orders payable to: USPS Disbursing Officer. Please do not send cash. Offers are due: April 17, 2001 by 1:00 PM. The address to obtain packages is as follows: USPS, Attn. L. Jefferson, 10500 Little Patuxent Pkwy., 2nd fl., Columbia MD 21044-3509. Since this ia negotiated Solicitation, offers will not be publicly opened. Personal visits for the purpose of discussing this project are discouraged. The number of offers received, the identity of the offers, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of the offer will not disclosed to anyone except those Postal Personnel whose official duties require such information until award of contract is made. The Postal Service reserves the right to reject any or all offers.
