- Description
- 1. RFP# AE92901000 is a solicitation for the operation of the New Yok City Job Corps Centers (South Bronx JCC & Brooklyn Job Corps Academy). 2. One combined contract to be issued for academic training, vocational training, outreach, admissions, and career developent training. 3. South Bronx JCC: 275 Students (Male Non Residential-35, Female Non Residential- 40, Male Residential-100, and Female Residential-100) 4. Brooklyn Job Corps Academy: 210 Students (Male Non Residential-105 and Female Non Residential-105) 5. The RFP will be available at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcops/schedule.html on or about April 1, 2001. 6. Day one of a two day Pre-proposal Conference will commence on Tuesday April 24, 2001 at 9:00 A.M local time at the South Bronx Job Corps Center Auditorium located at 1771 Andrews Ave. Bronx, New York 10453 tel.# (718)731-7700. Immediately after the first day's Pre-proosal Conference a walk-through of the South Bronx Facility will be conducted. 7. Day Two of the two day Pre-proposal Conference will commence on Wednesday April 25, 2001 at 9:00A.M. local time at the Brooklyn Job Corps Academy Conference Room located at 585 DeKalb Ave. Brooklyn, New York 11205 tel.# (718) 623-4059. Immediately after the second day's Pre-proosal Conference a walk-through of the Brooklyn Facility will be conducted. 8. Upon entering the facility the participants must proceed directly to the Auditorium on day One and the Conference Room on day Two for registration. Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably. 9. Interested offerors must limit their attendance to no more than three individuals. 10. In accordance with FAR 5.102 (A) (7), availability of the solicitation will be limited to downloading from the web address cited in item #5 above. We recommend interested parties download the RFP prior to attendance at the Conference. 11. This procurement will be made in accordance with FAR 215-1 Alternate I which allows for oral presentations. Despite the allowance of oral presentations, written submissions are also be required. The RFP will outline the written as will as oral requirements. 12. The written part of the proposal is to be received at the Job Corps Region I, New York Office located at 201 Varick Street Room 897, New York, New York 10014 by Friday June 1, 2001 12:00 Noon local time. 13. Approximate anticipated dates for oral presentation are 12-14 June 2001 at the Job Corps Region I, New York Office.
