Description

This project is for mechanical roadside brushing of approximately 133 miles of Forest Development Road on Prince of Wales Island, Southeast Alaska. The work includes removal of vegetative growth to within 3 inches of the ground for 15 horizontal feet beyond the road shoulder. Equipment specifications are minimum 140 HP tractor with minimum weight of 45,000 pounds. Brushing head must be a Mini 480B Slashbuster or approved equal. Contract time is 180 days. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 115310. The solicitation will be posted for viewing and printing to the Tongass National Forest homepage at http://www.fs.fed.us/r10/tongass on or about March 26, 2001.
