THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR ANGLE VALVE FOR PRL VACUUM CHAMBER STE. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions received from offerors. Question 1: Is there a valve on site that this spec pertains to? If so, who is the manufacturer? Answer 1: It refers to the GNB Corporation spec. NASA/MSFC has similar valves on site. Question 2: Is there more information on the multi-coolant full chevron copper baffle? Answer 2: It is compatible with LN2, water and a polycold system. Also designed to intercept 100% of backstreaming. Question 3: What is the pressure class of the valve? Answer 3: It shall be used to seal a diffusion pump against 1 atmosphere pressure. Question 4: Pressure class of the valve? (ie. 150#, 300# etc) Answer 4: Class #150 type flanges. Question 5: Temperature of the media? Answer 5: Temperature of media is less than 150 deg C. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to March 19, 2001. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on February 16, 2001. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
