Description

The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure the services for precommercial thinning of approximately 1333 acres of second growth timberlands located in three separate areas on the Tongass National Forest, Thorne Bay Ranger District, Prince of Wales Island, Southeast Alaska. The three areas are within a 50 mile radius of the community of Thorne Bay, AK. The contract time will be 153 calendar days. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this project is 115310. The solicitation will be posted to the Tongass National Forest homepage at http://www.fs.fed.us/r10/tongass on or about March 27, 2001.
