Description
The U. S. Department of Energy (DOE), Oak Ridge Operations Office (ORO) seeks an experienced 8(a) firm to provide information technology support services to assist in executing information management responsibilities. This competitive procurement is set aside for small businesses, certified as 8(a) by the Small Business Administration under NAICS Code 541519, Size Standard $18.0M. The contract is anticipated to have a two-year base period plus three one-year option periods, for a total contract period not to exceed five years. The contractor will provide a variety of information management services including information engineering and system management; end-user support and related administration services; and computer/network operations. The scope includes supporting approximately 1,000 computer users located at various sites to include, but not limited to, the following locations in and near Oak Ridge, Tennessee: (1) the Federal Building, 200 Administration Road; (2) 55 Jefferson Circle; (3) 2714 Complex, Laboratory Road; (4) Building 1916T2, Warehouse Road; (5) Oak Ridge National Laboratory Site Office, Bethel Valley Road; (5) East Tennessee Technology Park Site Office, U.S. Highway 58; and (6) the National Nuclear Security Administration Y-12 Site Office, Bear Creek Road. The government will provide the space, utilities, equipment and supplies necessary to accomplish the work. The Request for Proposals (RFP) is expected to be released in late March 2001, on the Internet address of http://www.oro.doe.gov/Procurement/cur_sol.html. Telephone or written requests for the RFP will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit proposals which will be considered by DOE. Proposals are expected to be due in late April 2001, with an anticipated award date in August 2001. Oral presentations are expected to occur in early May 2001. Site tours and preproposal conferences are not being planned. Supporting documentation will be made available in the DOE-ORO Public Reading Room located at 230 Warehouse Road, Suite 300, in Oak Ridge, TN, at the time of release of the RFP. The Department will not maintain a bidder's mailing list for this procurement.
