THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR BUILDING 650 EVAPORATIVE COOLERS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to add the following information to Specification 15721, Paragraph 2.1.20: 1.120 Elevation -- Units shall be derated to move the specified amount of air at elevation 4,500 feet. Also, to add the following Best Value Criteria to the Specifications: The specifications described in part 2 are the minimum specifications that the Government must have to satisfy the requirements. The Government will evaluate the offeror's response in accordance with "Best Value to the Government" using the following Best Value criteria: The evaporative media is 95% efficient or greater. How closely the unit sizes and discharges match the existing design based on the model number called out in Part 2. Warranty terms and conditions. Offerors shall be evaluated on the ability to provide a warranty period beyond the minimum of 1 year, and the incremental cost of additional warranty coverage beyond the minimum of 1 year. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to 3:30 p.m.local time, March 15, 2001. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on February 2, 2001. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
