Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed-Price Contract for the procurement of production lots (Lot VI/FY02 through Lot X/FY06) of F414-GE-400 engines, modules, devices. Requirements include engineering support, life cycle cost improvements. The estimated number of install and spare engines per lot is: FY Lot Installs Spares Delivery Commences 02 VI 84 8 June 2003 03 VII 84 8 June 2004 04 VIII 84 8 June 2005 05 IX 84 8 June 2006 06 X 84 8 June 2007 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate with the original designer and developer, General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE), located at 1000 Western Avenue, Lynn, MA 01910-0445. GEAE is the original Manufacturer and only known source possessing the requisite technical knowledge, specialized experience, capability, tooling and technical data necessary to fulfill these requirements within the required timeframes.
