- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being required and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quote solicitation. The following goods/services are required: Provide 200,000 rounds of Winchester (Manufacturer: Olin Winchester Corporation)9MM cartridges Symbol RA912N, Ranger Load, 124 grain / full metal jacket-Ball, brand name or equal. All shipment must be received at Camp Santiago, Salinas, PR no later than (NLT) 15 Jun 01. All pertinent efforts and documentation on freights, handling and taxes, shall be done in advance and prior to the delivery date -- June 15, 01- to avoid late delivery. Contractor must be familiar with shipping, documentation and procedures, local transportation regulations and all laws pertaining to ammunitions. Shipment must be on port with enough time to permit the shipment be delivered at Camp Santiago by the COB or NLT 15 Jun 01. Amunition must be packed in Department of Transportation (DOT) certified containers that meet Performance Oriented Packaging (POP) requirements for ground and air transportation. Contractor must comply and is fully responsible of the compliance of the above stated specifications upon the acceptance and issuance of the award. Failure to comply with all the above stated specifications may be subject to penalty charges as deemed necessary by the US Government (what ever is determined to compensate damages caused as a result of such non-compliance). Shipment cost must also be included on the proposal.
