Description

Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to reroof the station building at USCG LORAN (Long-Range Aid to Navigation) Station Baudette, Baudette, Minnesota. Work items deemed as major to the contract are as follows: 1.1 Remove and dispose of the existing roofing system to include: EPDM membrane, roof insulation, vapor barrier, perlite base board, flashing, scuppers, wood nailers, and all items noted on drawings. Remove and dispose of timber grid. 1.2 Provide and install a fully adhered, reinforced, 0.060 inch EPDM membrane roofing system as specified and as indicated on the drawings. New roofing system to include new polyisocyanurate insulation, new vapor barrier, new wood nailers, new flashings, new scuppers and new rubber pavers. Provide and install new wood nailers as required for specified roof slope and placement. Provide and install new rubber pavers over the entire roof surface as indicated on the drawings. Provide and install all roof accessories as required to complete work. 1.3 Provide a safety person on site during construction to ensure project work does not damage or disturb the operation of U.S. Coast Guard transmitting equipment and any of the support equipment located outside or inside the station building. 1.4 Provide a written inclement weather plan. The plan shall ensure that no water leaks into the station building during project construction in order to protect transmitters and other electrical equipment inside the station building. The inclement weather plan shall ensure there is no disturbance of the operation of U.S. Coast Guard transmitting equipment and any of the support equipment located outside or inside the station building. 1.5 LORAN STATION BAUDETTE PRODUCES A SIGNAL FROM ITS TRANSMITTING EQUIPMENT WHICH MUST NOT BE INTERRUPTED OR DISTURBED. This signal is sent 24 hours per day for seven days a week all year long. The period of performance is 60 days after Notice to Proceed. Construction shall be complete no later than 31 August 2001. The estimated range of this procurement is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00, and in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program is open to both small and large businesses.
