Description

PLEASANT CREEK WETLAND RESERVE PROJECT -- The work consists of restoring a wetland area formerly used for agriculture production to wildlife use. The major items of work are: Removal of Water, 1 LS; Excavation, Unclassified, 7,075 CY; Excavation, Common 4,300 CY; Earthfill, Class C, 7,100 CY; Concrete Drop Inlet, 16 CY; Principal Spillway Conduit, 60-inch Steel, 70 LF; Rock Riprap, 678 TN; Trash Guard Assembly, 1 LS; Sediment Fence, 3,300 LF; Crushed Aggregrate Paving, 325 LF; Guardrail, Type I, Class III, 300 LF; Seeding and Mulching, 4.0 Acres. Work shall commence within 10 days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed and be completed within the specified performance time. The Notice to Proceed is planned to be issued in early June 2001. NO PHONE OR FAX REQUESTS will be honored. A pre-bid/site showing conference is scheduled for April 5, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Plan to meet at the NRCS Office in Philippi, West Virginia. The office is located just south of Philippi on the left, on Route 250 South. The building is red brick and has a USDA Agricultural Service Center sign in front. The conference will be conducted by Kathy Allen, Contracting's Officer Technical Representative, 304-457-1118. There will NOT be any other pre-bid/site showing conference. All responsible sources may submit a bid.
