Description

The Navy requires Quality Assurance Training Services in accordance with a Government Statement of Work as detailed within Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00164-00-G-0002. This training involves a cooperative effort between the contractor, University of California, Extended Studies and Public Service, 15373 Innovation Drive, Suite 105, San Diego CA 92128 and the NSWC Crane Marine Corps Program Department at Fallbrook, California. These services are to provide Quality Assurance Training to foreign military students on a recurring basis. A total of 12 different courses currently exist, ranging in duration from 3 to 6 weeks. Most of the courses will be held at the Fleet Training Center, Naval Station San Diego; however, occasionally there may be a requirement for a course to be taught in Cairo, Egypt. UCSD has previously developed course curricula and established a teaming relationship with the MCPD to co-teach the courses. The Navy currently has a commercial basic ordering agreement with UCSD covering a 5-year period. The ordering period is currently in the 2nd year. The Navy intends on utilizing this BOA in FY01.
