Description

The United States Naval Academy has a requirement to purchase the following item: Portal Curtain. 1 Each. SIZE: Portal curtain 51 foot 4 inches high by 198 foot wide (fullness is tied in). FABRIC: Navy blue velour -- 25 ounce, 100 percent cotton. FLAME RESISTANCE: 1. Velour must be inherently flame resistant for the life of the curtain. 2. 100% cotton fabrics to be chemically treated for flame retardancy by an immersion process. This treatment is effective for about 5 (five) years and them must be redone together with dry cleaning. 3. A Certificate of Flame Resistance is to be provided for each fabric used. FULLNESS: Portal Curtain is to be sewn flat and fullness will be tied on site to match existing curtain. TOP FINISH: 3 " Jute webbing is to be sewn to the top with 1 inch of face fabric turned under. Curtain must be grommeted on 12-inch centers and is finished with number 4 braided cotton tie line. BOTTOM HEMS: Curtain to have 6 inches bottom hem complete with #200 weight. Weight is to be sewn so that it finishes 2 inches above the bottom of the curtain. SIDE HEMS: All side hems are to be 2 inches. LINING: Curtain is unlined. RING LINES: Ring lines are to be sewn per the original curtain. INSTALLED AND TESTED ON SITE. A MANADTORY pre-proposal conference will be held on Friday, March 16, 2001 at 10:00 A.M., location is the Supply Department Conference Room. Vendors MUST confirm by close of business on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, if attending on-site conference. The Government will not be responsible for vendor's fee for on-site conference.
