Description

Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intends to award a firm, fixed-price order for the following thirteen contract line item numbers (CLIN) in the following quantities shown: (0001, 30 each) 100 mW flight deck UHF transceiver systems designed to interface with flight deck helmets in CLIN 0002. MIL-STD-810E applies. Transmit at selectable power output up to 100 mW for shipboard applications where HERO safety and limited detectability is required. Includes DES encryption, antenna, and intrinsically safe rechargeable battery. (0002, 30 each) Flight deck helmets customized to operate with CLIN 0001 flight deck radios. Include noise-canceling microphone and noise-limiting earpiece designed for use in close proximity to jets on aircraft carrier flight deck. (0003, 30 each) UHF mobile digital radio, 403-430 MHz. Meet MIL-STD-810E environmental specifications. PC programmable with backlit keypad and LCD. (0004, 140 each) Scanning mobile digital radio meeting MIL-STD-810E. PC programmable with backlit LCD and backlit keypad. (0005, 170 each) High capacity NiCd rechargeable intrinsically safe batteries for CLINs 0003 and 0004. (0006, 170 each) Helical antenna, 403-430 MHz, for CLINs 0003 and 0004. (0007, 170 each) DES encryption for CLINs 0003 and 0004. (0008, 30 each) Six-unit rapid (one-hour) battery charger. (0009, 50 each) Single-unit rapid (one-hour) battery charger. (0010, 5 each) Six-position rapid (one-hour) battery charger. (0011, 30 each) UDC adapter, plastic. (0012, 170 each) Swivel mount plate with belt loop. (0013, 30 each) Canvas holster. Note: See solicitation for additional specifications for on each CLIN. All items must interface with the AN/SRC-55 Hierarchical Yet Dynamically Reprogrammable Architecture (HYDRA) trunking Land Mobile Radio (LMR) System. All batteries required to have test documentation showing them intrinsically safe. All items FOB Destination to Suffolk, VA. Delivery required by 16 May 2001. Inspection and acceptance by the Government at destination. SOLICITATION/ORDER INFORMATION: "Brand name or equal" provisions with specific ComNet Ericsson part numbers shown for reference in for each CLIN in the RFQ. Quote must include testing documentation showing that batteries and battery components are intrinsically safe. Order will be firm, fixed-price type awarded under procedures for commercial/modified commercial (FAR Part 12) items. In accordance with FAR 13.5, simplified acquisition procedures are being used. Because of the interrelationship of the contract line item components, the Government intends to a single order resulting from this solicitation. This will be a web-posted solicitation. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. No hard-copy solicitation or amendment documents will be distributed by the Government. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendment thereto. Subsequent amendments to the solicitation, if any, will be promulgated ONLY via the NECO website. Because this is a web-posted solicitation, a Solicitation Mailing List is not maintained by the Government. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the referenced web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments.
