Description

The Government intends to procure for the development and production of 36 each Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) for its MH-60L helicopter. The requirement will be to modernize the MH-60L to add altitude and hover hold functionality to the MH-60L helicopter and eliminate obsolete and high maintenance AFCS components. Added AFCS functionality and performance requirements are similar to the MH-60K. The Automatic flight control system must add the following capabilities to the MH-60L: 1. Barometric altitude hold 2. Radar altitude hold 3. Hover hold 4. All hardware and software must have growth and expansion capabilities (near term desire is to grow to enable automatic approach and depart from hover functions). This acquisition is anticipated to be a sole source written request for proposal to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford, Connecticut 06615-9129. The anticipated award date is estimated to be in July 2001. All responsible sources may submit a propposal that shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be availabe via EDI in the Interagency Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website: https:/abop.monmounth.army.mil. Any contractor must register in IBOP in order to be able to submit a proposal. Once registered, there is no requirement to register again. SEE Numbered Notes 22 and 26.
