Description

Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) has a requirement for post wide refuse, recycling and construction debris collection and removal services at APG, Maryland. The Government seeks certified hubzone contractors, certified 8(a) contractors or small business contractors interested in this requirement. The Government intends to solicit the requirement under any one of these set-aside programs. Interested hubzone or 8(a) contractors shall provide SBA hubzone or 8(a) certification letters not later than 20 Mar 2001. All interested parties whether small business, hubzone or 8(a) contractor shall provide qualification statements not later than 20 Mar 2001. Collection services at APG cover both the Edgewood area and Aberdeen area. These areas are approximately 15 miles apart on US Route 40. The installation contains 72,000 acres with 214 miles of paved roads and 83 miles of unpaved roads. Refuse collection services are performed at 509 buildings with 534 dumpsters used. Currently, there are 122 (2 CY dumpsters), 126 (4 CY dumpsters), 160 (6 CY dumpsters), 125 (8 CY dumpsters), and 1 (40 CY dumpster). In-building recycling services are performed at 49 buildings and 69 buildings require outside dumpster service. 170 buildings are in restricted areas that require individual employees to have a security background investigations.
