Description

17. The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Milan, Michigan is soliciting for Guard Services for Federal prisoners that require admission at FCI Milan area hospitals or other medical treatment/appointments. Services are advertised as full and open competition. This action's North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 56162. Contractor employees must have one year(1020 hours)of guard duty experience training by having completed at least the one-half year of experience in the Armed Forces or Coast Guard or equivalent experience in a Federal, State, or local government or private organization which involved protecting property against the hazards of ifre, theft, damage accident, or trespass or equivalent experience in maintaining law and order, protecting lives or other dutes of similar nature. Advanced post high school training in courses such as corrections or police science may be substitued for experience in the ratio of two (2) hours of instruction for one (1) hour of experience. Services will be provided in the Milan, Michigan area hospitals who provide services to the Federal Correctional Institution. Services will be required for a one year base period, with four one-year option periods for a total of sixty months from the date of award. The estimated quantity of hours for each twelve month period of the contracts is three thousand three hundred each year respectively. The anticipated award date for the base year of the contract is May 1, 2001. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a bid which will be considered for award.
