NSN: 8030-00-721-9380 Coating compound, strippable plastic: DESCRIPTION COATING COMPOUND: A strippable, plastic coating compound in accordance with Military Specification MIL-PRF-6799K dated September 14, 1998. QPL qualification required; QPL-6799-18 dated February 23, 1990 or later letter of qualification. Type II: multi-coat system, exterior Class 1: basecoat, black Size: a minimum of 640 fl oz (5 gallons) in a plastic, 5-gallon shipping pail of the type normally provided with this type product, except that IMDG conforming pails shall be used if contents contain hazardous materials. Pails shall have removable plastic heads fitted with a leak-tight seal. The minimum thickness of pail side-walls, bottom, and cover shall be 90 mils.
