Description

Provide elevator maintenance and repair services at various federally owned buildings throughout the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. The contractor shall perform maintenance services during each inspection to ensure reliable and continuos safe operation. The maintenance work shall be in accordance with commercial practices or manufacturer's specifications, if available, and shall be intended to maintain the elevators in safe and reliable operating condition until the next scheduled maintenance. More than one contract may be awarded from this solicitation. The period of performance for each contract is for a base period of 3 years with 2-3 year options. The total performance period will not exceed nine years. Services are expected to commence on or about July 1, 2001. Procurement made using FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and source selection methods for award. The NAICS Code is 235950. This procurement is unrestricted. The solicitation will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) website at http://eps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation as well as all amendments will not be issued. Any prospective offeror interested in proposing on this solicitation must register with GSA in order to be placed on the bidder's list for this solicitation.
