Description

Contractor to provide testing laboratory services for major construction project, Cardiovascular Research Institute, Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), Temple, TX. Prospective Contractor will inspect materials and workmanship and perform tests described in Section 01410, VA Master Specification that includes testing and additional tests requested by the VA Resident Engineer that includes but is not limited to earthwork, foundation caissons, asphalt concrete paving, site work concrete post-tensioning of concrete, shotcrete, structural steel and masonry. Testing Laboratory Qualifications as follows: Independent testing laboratory regularly engaged in the type of testing and inspections required by the contract documents. The Testing Laboratory shall have testing laboratory facilities located within 200 miles of Temple, Texas. Additionally, the Testing Laboratory shall meet recommended requirements for Independent Laboratory Qualification by the American Council of Independent Laboratories. Each independent testing and inspection laboratory shall be authorized by authorities having jurisdiction in the State of Texas. Services will be required for duration of project. A solicitation providing greater detail on this opportunity is anticipated to be issued not less than fifteen (15) calendar days from posting of this notice. CTVHCS will follow Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, in preparing the solicitation and resulting award. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside (see numbered note #1), NAIC Code 541330.
