Description

17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This announcement incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22 and VAAR 97-8. The VA intents to award a firm fix priced contract for ambulatory drug delivery pump. WJBD Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) plans to negotiate on a sole source basis with Sims Deltec, Inc., 1265 Grey Fox Road, St. Paul, MN. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement by submitting a proposal. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO COMPETE THIS CONTRACT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL BE CONSIDERED SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER TO CONDUCT A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 339112 applies and the small business size is 500 employees. The contractor shall provide (19 ea.) Prizm VIP Ambulatory Infusion System, Model 6101, Product Number 21-8831 to include Training, (2 ea.) Service Manuals and (2 ea.) Operating Manuals. Delivery shall be 15 days after receipt of award. The contractor shall deliver all items FOB destination to Warehouse A10053, VA Medical Center, Building #100, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
