Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a contract (base year with four option years) with Raytheon Company, 1010 Production Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808-4106 for the procurement of AN/ARC-187 radios, associated equipment and support for P-3 and S-3 aircraft. It is anticipated that approximately 200 radio systems will be purchased over the life of the contract (inclusive of options). As the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/ARC-187 radio, Raytheon Company is the only known source with the data rights and technical expertise to fulfill this requirement. See Note 22.
