Description

The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, has identified a requirement for asbestos/lead abatement services. Work shall be performed on Government-owned space in various buildings within the geographic boundaries of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which are located in the counties of San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo, CA. It is anticipated that an Indefinite Quantity type contract be awarded for a Base Year and four (4) one year options, exercisable at the sole discretion of Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Minimum guaranteed amount for the Base Year is $10,000. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, services, training, insurance and equipment as needed to complete abatement of asbestos-containing and contaminated materials and lead based paint as described in each individual task order. Work shall be in compliance with technical specifications and all federal, state and local ordinances, regulations and rules pertaining to each project, including removal, storage, transportation and disposal of asbestos. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542, Nonresidential Buildings, Other than Industrial Buildings and Warehouses (Construction), or Code 233320, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, minority and woman-owned business enterprises. Solicitation documents will be available on or about March 26, 2001, with bids due approximately 30 calendar days later. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered for award.
