Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking an instructor to provide Computer Vocational Training to the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), 37900 N. 45th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85086. The services shall be required Monday through Friday, except Federal Holidays, at both locations. Instruction shall be provided from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Federal Correctional Institution and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Federal Prison Camp. This schedule may be subject to change depending on the needs of the Bureau of Prisons. The instructor shall structure the course to ensure that students acquire skills in the following areas: Word Processing (Word Perfect and/or Word, etc.), Data Base Management (dBase), Spreadsheet Management (Lotus 123) and Desk Top Publishing. The instructor shall be required to develop, initiate, teach, and counsel students in the Computer Vocational Training Program. The instructor must be listed in the Accredited Institutions of Post-Secondary Education and/or designated eligible by the United States Department of Education and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges or an equivalent committee from another district. The credit hours earned by the inmates shall be transferable to other educational institutions. Services shall include tuition, text books, course registration fees, and all other expenses normally incurred by college level students and applicable to the inmate population of the FCI and FPC. The anticipated period of performance is as follows: Base Year: Date of award through 12 months after date of award; Option Year 1: 13 months after date of award through 24 months after date of award; Option Year 2: 25 months after date of award through 36 months after date of award; Option Year 3: 37 months after date of award through 48 months after date of award; Option Year 4: 49 months after date of award through 60 months after date of award. This solicitation will be prepared in accordance with format in FAR Subparts 12.303 and 13.5. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by this agency.
