Description

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS), requires the provision of a comprehensive secondary education program, Grades 9-12 and student bus transportation services for the approximately 183 eligible dependent children of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel residing on the Installation of the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, services, administration, transportation, supplies, equipment (not otherwise provided by the Government), and other items necessary to present a comprehensive educational program, to include gifted/talented, special education, remedial support, counseling, and extra curricular activities. Qualified, responsible providers shall be licensed by the State of New York Secretary of Education to operate a state secondary school, grades 9 through 12, and be capable of providing the required educational program and bus transportation services in compliance with all applicable Federal, DoD and State of New York laws and regulations. The term of contract is one (1) base year (for School Year 2001-2002 education services only) with four (4) one year options (for education and bus transportation services). This solicitation is a Request for Proposal prepared in accordance with FAR, Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and will be available on or about March 20, 2001.
