Description

Provide all manpower, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, services documentation to perform an infectious medical waste management service that uses a mobile waste processing technology system on site at the VA Medical Center, 1601 Perdido Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. The process shall use maceration as the first stage of processing, followed by chemical and heat treating and disposing of the treated medical waste on site. The process shall purposely render the medical waste unrecognizable, harmless and suitable for sanitary landfill disposal. The base performance period will be from the date of award through September 30, 2001 with four (4) option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 562ll2, Hazardous Waste Collection applies to this solicitation. This solicitation incorporates Simplied Acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part l3 and test program at FAR l3.5. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds and 90 day bid acceptance period is mandatory. The bid opening will be held on April 19, 2001, 2:00PM at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, l60l Perdido Street, Bldg 2, Room 405, New Orleans, Louisiana 70ll2. All request for this solicitation must be in writing, at the same address as the bid opening being held. Issue date for the solicitation is March 20, 2001.
