Description

Synopsis No. xxxxx. This acquisition is for the award of a supplemental agreement to increase the ceiling on Contract DAAHO1-00-D-A102 to provide for the continuation of engineering and scientific expertise, analysis, design, development, fabrication and support equipment used to develop, monitor and sustain ASET IV and/or UMPTE Systems which are threat trainers. The effort also provides for systems, subsystems, and/or assemblies to be interfaced into existing and future equipment in the threat air defense netw`ork structure. The contractor will be required to have a TOP SECRET SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION facility clearance and safeguarding capability to perform on the effort. Period of Performance is 60 months. The proposed acquisition is a sole source procurement to Sierra Research, 485 Cayuga Road, Buffalo, NY 14225. Sierra, as the primary developer and producer of the ASET IV and the UMTE, is the only contractor that has the specialized knowledge, background, expertise, facilities, and databases necessary to accomplish the work in a cost-effective and timely manner. This synopsis is for the purpose of advertising possible subcontracting opportunities. See Note 22. *****
