Description
This is a source-sought notice. The United States National Park Service (NPS) is looking for a vendor who can complete the following project: Provide all labor, supplies and materials to fabricate a map of the world -per the drawing provided by the NPS. The drawing is intended to be a guide, not to be exactly copied. The intent is to have the "center" of the room where the indicated mark is in the center of the Atlantic Ocean. In the center of the room is a twenty-six (26) inches square column that the map must go around, hence the center. We prefer two sections that "lock" together around this column . The map should include the following colors: the United States to be Yellow; Canada and Mexico to be Brown; all the countries in Europe to be purple; South America to be Orange; Africa to be Green; Asia to be Red. All water areas blue, with blue right to the edge of the map. The edges of the land masses, the outline of the United States and the outline of the European Countries are to be black. The exterior dimensions are to be fifteen (15) feet "high" by twenty five (25) feet "wide". This map will be laid on the floor, over carpet, and walked on as part of an educational program. The map must be removable as the education area is a multi-purpose room. It must have a five (5) year warranty. Average traffic is expected to be 300 people per week. A graphic of a steamship sailing from Europe to the United States should be in the North Atlantic. An image of the Statue of Liberty should be superimposed over the New York City area. Procurement of the project item is contingent upon the availability of necessary funds. Interested vendors are encouraged to contact Vincent DiPietro, Interpretation Division, NPS Statue of Liberty National Monument at (212) 363-3206 extension 137 or fax a letter of interest to (212) 363-6304.
