Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, is soliciting proposals for development and production of the DSU-52/B Hydrostatic Sensor Firing Device (HSFD) on a full and open competition basis from qualified sources. Access to classified information up to the secret level is anticipated in performance of this contract. Contractors will be required to have and maintain a facility clearance. Award of a five year contract is contemplated. The first two years is the EMD phase consisting of delivery of a Technical Data Package, Design Verification Test Unit Fabrication (30 units), Design Verification Flight Test Units (60 units) and Design Verification Testing. Three Option years consisting of Year 1, Lot 1-Lot Acceptance Test fabrication (20 units) followed by Lot 1- production of 950 units; Year 2, Lot 2-Lot Acceptance Test fabrication (20 units) followed by production of Lot 2- 535 units; Year 3, Lot 3-Lot Acceptance Test fabrication (20 units) followed by Lot 3- production of 306 units. The government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price type of contract for this effort. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about 20 March 2001 and will be available through the Contracts Competency homepage Web site at: http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm. The drawing packages will not be available on-line and will be made available only upon request from contractors with current facility security clearance. Offerors are responsible for requesting copies of drawing packages in sufficient time to permit receiving a hardcopy via the U.S. mail, although packages will not be mailed before the RFP is posted to the Website. Requests shall contain the offeror's level of clearance, current mailing address and point of contact. The government anticipates a 30-day response time for receipt of proposals. All qualified sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Note 26.
