- Description
- Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the drydock and repairs of USCGC POINT BROWER (WPB 1342), 82_ patrol boat, homeported in San Francisco, California. Geographical restriction is restricted to the California and Oregon coast. All work shall be performed at the contractor_s facilities, during the period of 27 June and complete 08 August 2001. . Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 03/21/01. Bidders are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, hull plating, underwater body inspection/preserve (partial), hull plating, freeboard UT testing, hull plating renewal, voids (non-accessible) leak test, preserve, internal, tanks (MP fuel service, stowage and overflow) clean and inspect, tanks (potable water) clean and inspect, propulsion shaft seals inspect and clean, propeller cleaning and inspection, motors, critical >5HP overhaul, electric motor renewal <5HP, electric meter (critical) calibration, pressure gauges and thermometers (critical) calibration, sea valve (<=2.5 inches) , sea valve (>=2.5 inches) overhaul, sewage holding tank clean and inspect, bilges (machinery space) preserve, propulsion shafts removal and inspection, propulsion shaft coating inspect and test. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
