- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to sponsor applied research in the area of Corrosion Protection of Highway Structures. The broad objective of this contract is to solicit research to assist in providing solutions to the problem of corrosion protection of structural steel and reinforced concrete highway structures. This indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order contract is intended to provide FHWA the flexibility to fund multiple research projects, potentially with multiple service providers over the coming five-year period. The agency intends to negotiate individual task orders for specific research studies as needed over a 5-year period. This requirement is designated as full and open competition. The solicitation, all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov under the _EPS for Vendors_ option followed by selection of the _DOT_ Center. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile, or email requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. Interested parties can register at the aforementioned site to receive procurement announcements by email. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the EPS website for any solicitation amendments. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FHWA.
