Description

The National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Office (WFO) has a requirement for the installation of a solid laminate radome for the new Love Building Addition, at Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, FL. The work shall include, but not be limited to the acquisition, coordination and installation of the radome. The radome shall be complete with side access door, plywood base support mounting ring and accessories for mounting on the existing Love Building concrete roof mounting surface. A TRS receiver pedestal and antenna unit, to be covered by the radome, will be located on the concrete penthouse-type roof structure of the existing Love Building. The TRS antenna, with radome cover, is used to track a balloon-borne instrument package released from the balloon release structure located on the roof of the Love Building Addition. The tentative delivery date is October 17, 2001. The applicable SIC code is 3812 and the NAICS code is 334513.
