Description: Work consists of clearing, grubbing and stripping, embankment, excavation, crushed stone surfacing, geotextile, stone protection, sheet piling, culvert pipe, fencing, establishment of turf, concrete, miscellaneous metals, painting, staff gages, stoplogs and hoists, pump station, jib cranes, sluice gates and hoists. Specifications will be available on or about 20 March 2001. Bid opening will be on or about 19 April 2001. Contract duration is 480 calendar days. The cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and specs will be available on the St. Louis District Web Page listed below and on CD Rom at no charge. The solicitation is unrestricted. Small and Disadvantaged business firms are encouraged to participate as prime contractors or as members of joint ventures with other small businesses. All interested contractos are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum extent practicable with small and disadvantaged businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered bythis agency.
