- PA Consulting Group formerly known as Hagler Bailly, on behalf of the Alexandria Water General Authority (AWGA), acting as Procurement Services Agent (PSA) to AWGA is posting this advertisement seeking expressions of interest from U.S. firms only, for inclusion on a "Distribution List. Firms seeking inclusion on this list will receive copies of Invitation for Bids (when issued) for commodity procurements of "Water Purification Treatment Equipment" as further explained below. This blanket advertisement will be valid for one year from the date of publishing covering the following seven procurement packages i.e. IFBs listed below, anticipated to be issued within one year. There will be no further notices before issuance of each IFB. Firms who believe they have experience in providing similar equipment should send a written request to Ms. Marilyn Lee, PA Government Services Inc. (PA) fax 703-351-6166, e-mail marilyn.lee@paconsulting.com or mail to 1530 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 400, Arlington, Virginia, 22209-2447. Fax and e-mail requests will be considered. This request shall include name of company, full address, telephone number, and fax number and e-mail address for contact. It is the firm's responsibility to ensure update of its information on the AWGA's "Distribution List" in case of any change to them. The following is a list of anticipated IFBs with related equipment to be purchased under each specific IFB. The packages below include various commodities with similar functions. AWGA-0270-1HC Water Quality Monitoring Equipment, AWGA 0270-2HC Water Distribution System Equipment, AWGA-0270-3HC Large Turbine Meters, AWGA-0270-4HC Metal Fabrication Workshop Equipment, AWGA 0270-5HC Automated Handled Meter Readers, AWGA-0270-6HC Geographic Positioning System (GPS), System AWGA-0270-7HC Line Dot Matrix Printers. Successful bidders will sign fixed price Host Country Contracts (HCC) with AWGA. Payments under those HCC will be made in U.S. dollars by USAID/Egypt through direct Letters of Commitment. Bidders will be given 45 days from the date of issuance of each specific IFB to prepare and submit their bids. Bids will be opened publicly at the time, date and address specified in each IFB. Late submission of bids will not be considered. Bids must remain valid and open for acceptance for a minimum of 120 days from the date set for bid opening. The Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the U.S. Agency for International Development encourage and welcome in this activity the participation, to the fullest extent possible, of minorities and women both as individuals and as members of contracting or sub-contracting firms. In this respect, it is anticipated that the prime contractor will make every practicable use of such personnel and firms.
