Description

This is a sole source combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 , as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number DTCG40-01-Q-50052 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. The applicable North American Industry Classification System standard is 333612. The small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation is set-a-side for small business. The requirement consists of the following item required for support of the Buoy Crane on Juniper Class, 225 Ft. Item (1) NSN 3810-01-468-5783, Swing Drive Assembly, Part Number 39253, Quantity 1 Each. Drawing or specifications are not available, and cannot be furnished by the Government. Packaging, packing, and preservation shall be in accordance with best commercial practices to enable shipment to destination and transshipment to Coast Guard units without repackaging or incurring damage during shipment and handling. Item shall be individually packaged and labeled. Labeling shall include the appropriate National Stock Number, Part Number, Nomenclature, Quantity, Purchase Order Number. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination, USCG Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd., Baltimore, MD 21226. Offeror shall include a complete copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (Feb 2001). Full test of a clause may be accessed electronically at this Internet address: http://www.arnet.gov. Offerors that do not have access to these certifications may request a copy from the point of contact. It is anticipated that a non-competitive sole source solicitation will be issued to purchase this item from Allied Systems Company, 2300 Oregon St., Sherwood, Oregon 97140, or authorized distributor, unless additional sources are located. All responsible and responsive sources are invited to express their interest and ABILITY to perform the above-described, via fax in writing to Mrs. Dreszer, no later than March 15, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)!
