Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a follow-on SOLE SOURCE contract with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, MO, a wholly own subsidiary of The Boeing Company, for the fiscal year (FY) 2002 Production T-45 Training System (T-45TS). The subject acquisition consists of six (6) T-45C "Goshawk" aircraft; structural fatigue life tracking; engine monitoring; engineering support activities, reliability and maintainability program; quality assurance program; engineering investigations and test activities; ancillary equipment; operational and instrument flight trainers; ground training support; integration and related analysis; integrated logistics support; technical manuals; and various data requirements. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the designer, developer and sole integrator of the T-45TS and is the only known source with the experience and technical data necessary for performance of this effort. Numbered Notes 22 and 26 apply.
